Description

Trilostane is a 3-β hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase inhibitor that is used in the treatment of hyperadrenocorticism and Cushing’s disease in dogs and cats. By blocking this enzyme, trilostane stops the conversion of pregnenolone to progesterone, which decreases cortisol and aldosterone production.
